WEEK 8 - Role of Institutions in Achieving SDG

 

Assalamualaikum and Hi!

During this week of lecture, we learned regarding the role of institutions in achieving SDG which is related with Goal 17: Partnership and Goals. The role of institution is really important because they have resources, machinery and power to mobilize its resources meanwhile individuals do not have the ability to do so. 

For instance, based on our group project, we proposed to collaborate with IIUM Sejahtera Clinic and Residential and Services Department (RSD) IIUM in order to help us realizing our project which is "The Cleanliness and Usage of IIUM Gombak cafes' cutlery". Both department have their own expertise that we can use and also they could put a lot more attention from the public regarding our project.

Islam encourages its followers to work together for the common good, and to refrain from working together in matters that are inappropriate and unseemly. When believers work together there is motivation, enthusiasm and a rise in spirit.
