WEEK 2 - Islam & Sustainable Development

 

Assalamualaikum and Hi!

This week of lecture, we learn about the topic Islam & Sustainable Development. We learned that Islam has always emphasis on the practice of sustainable development. It has the same three main focuses which are social, economic, and environmental. 

Next, regarding the respond to SD situation, we need to remember that we as the trustee on earth needs to always comply with the shari'ah of Islam and apply the concept of Amanah and also Shura to solve problems. 

This topic is important because we as a Muslim, need to consider the elements of Islam before the conventional aspects to be a the best Muslim. 

Thus, Islam really encourages us to do good deeds to the earth and not exploited it to get the rewards of Allah.
